We didn’t start with a brand. We started with a factory.

 

For over a decade we designed and produced collections for other people — for artists, for brands, for people in music. We learned the trade from the side a customer never sees: why one hoodie looks like a rag after three washes and another looks better after three years. Why the same cut sits completely differently in two fabrics. What an honestly made garment actually costs.

 

In 2024 we decided it was time to make something of our own.

 

Geschäft came out of a simple premise: if we have the machines, the people and the knowledge, we don’t need to outsource anything. Everything is made in our Poznań studio, where fourteen people work — pattern, cutting, sewing, dyeing, washing, finishing. We don’t buy blanks and add prints to them. Every piece we sell has passed through their hands.

 

That changes how we work. When we see a sleeve is two centimetres short, we fix it in the next run, not the next season. When we want to know how a hoodie behaves if it’s dyed only after it’s sewn, we dye one and find out. We don’t ask anyone’s permission and we don’t wait on samples from the other side of the world.

 

We make heavy things from good fabrics, in small runs. Hoodies at 470gsm, tees at 280 and 300gsm, corduroy, flannel, Italian suiting. No fiction about weights, and nothing that falls apart after a season.

 

We’re not trying to be big. We’re trying to be good at this — and to keep full control over it.
